Stephen’s practice areas center on corporate governance, debt and equity financing, and mergers and acquisitions. With experience representing lenders, investors and growth stage companies, he is adept at working with a variety of clients and facilitating all aspects of business growth. He is especially passionate about guiding early-stage businesses looking to grow their companies and expand their services.
A seasoned corporate practitioner, Stephen is well-versed in all significant aspects of a successful corporate client experience, including advising clients on entity formation and tax consequences, securing financing and commercial space, and negotiating and drafting all documents related thereto.
In addition to his thorough legal knowledge, Stephen is respected for his accessible, caring, and pragmatic nature, which adds an important level of trust to his relationships with clients. He is both highly responsive and understanding of his clients and their needs.
While in law school, he served as a Judicial Intern in the United States District Court for the District of Maryland, and also as a Mediator in the Baltimore City District Court. Moreover, Stephen was the Editor-in-Chief of his law school’s Journal of Business & Technology Law, and he has contributed to and published articles in several legal publications.
Stephen is an active member of the Public Service and Awards Committees of the Young Lawyers’ Division of the Baltimore City Bar Association, as well as the United Way’s Emerging Leaders United. Outside of his legal work, he coaches basketball and mentors high school students at Baltimore’s Annunciation Cathedral.
