An experienced transactional attorney, Brent Clemmens represents privately-held businesses and entrepreneurs in a variety of business law matters. He advises clients on entity formation, corporate governance, debt and equity financing, and mergers and acquisitions. He is committed to providing efficient and attentive client service, and to helping businesses prosper at every stage of their development.
Prior to joining Bowie & Jensen, Brent served as Assistant Counsel to the Baltimore City Department of Public Works. In this role, he handled numerous multimillion-dollar construction contracts, environmental compliance, administrative hearings, intergovernmental partnerships, and procurement issues, among other matters.
Brent has also worked as a structured settlement consultant for a national settlement planning company. In 2014, he graduated magna cum laude from the University of Baltimore School of Law with a concentration in Business Law. While in law school, he interned for the Circuit Court for Baltimore County, represented clients of the Immigrant Rights Clinic, and served as Associate Articles Editor of the school’s law review.
