Bowie & Jensen Welcomes Summer Law Clerk Frances Amaefuna

Bowie & Jensen LLC is pleased to welcome Frances Amaefuna as its new summer law clerk. Ms. Amaefuna is a highly accomplished rising third-year law student at the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law, where she is a Diversity Scholar, an ABA Law Student Division Regional Negotiation Finalist, and has held an executive board member position for their Black Law Student Association for multiple years.

She is also an M.B.A. candidate at Johns Hopkins Carey Business School, where she is a Dean’s Scholar and was a member of the Academic Ethics Board.

Since graduating magna cum laude from Rutgers University in 2018, Ms. Amaefuna has quickly gained a wealth of legal experience. She has previously clerked for Baltimore County’s Office of Public Defenders and for the General Counsel of the University of Maryland Medical Systems. At Bowie Jensen, Ms. Amaefuna will assist multiple practices, including the firm’s employment, corporate, and litigation groups. She comes to the firm through the Baltimore County Bar Association’s Summer Scholars Program, which helps to place diverse applicants in summer internships at Baltimore County law firms.
