Josh Glikin Secures Dismissal of Federal Class Action Lawsuit

A federal court in Illinois recently dismissed with prejudice a group of class action lawsuits against firm clients Target Corporation and a private label manufacturer for the nationwide retailer.  The court agreed that the plaintiffs’ claims that “100% Grated Parmesan Cheese” is falsely advertised because the room temperature product does not consist entirely of cheese, fails as a matter of law to state any claim against the firm’s clients.  This is one of many consumer class actions that Mr. Glikin has handled and successfully defeated in various federal courts across the country on behalf of small and large privately-held businesses and large, publicly-traded retailers.  He also has extensive experience serving as indemnity counsel for private label manufacturers in circumstances such as these.
